Hello, I’m Tara,

I am a certified Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and Senior Yoga Teacher.

I live here in Sooke and feel blessed to be in such a beautiful spot. I am a wife and mother of two grown kids. I am also a swimming enthusiast and you can often find me coaching or teaching at the SEAPARC Recreation centre. I also teach yoga group classes there.

I feel lucky that Manual Osteopathy came into my vision as a next step in my evolution. Like yoga, osteopathy is holistic. Yoga has lead the way in therapeutic application of movement for years and I was keen to continue the exploration of the body/mind more completely. To be honest, I knew that people needed to be touched and thus helped to understand where their bodies were at and what they might need. And that therapeutic, accurate and informed touch could make the world of difference to an individual. If I could marry this with skilled movement, people could get relieve and live better, more pain-free. 

I have recently completed my Neurokinetic Therapy Level 1. This is a system of understanding and treating muscle tension through the motor control centre of the brain, and will be a valuable asset to the practice.

The gates are open and I expect to continue training and learning and honing this craft to serve you better.
